Safari Itinerary
Morning:
- Depart from Nairobi and begin the journey to Masai Mara. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with a stop at the viewpoint for photos and a short break.
- Arrive in Narok town for a quick lunch (included).
Afternoon:
- Continue the drive to Masai Mara, arriving at your lodge or camp by mid-afternoon.
- Check-in and relax for a bit, enjoy refreshments, and settle into your accommodation.
- Head out for your first game drive in the Masai Mara Reserve to spot wildlife like elephants, lions, zebra, impala, wildebeest and giraffes.
- Return to the lodge/camp as the sun sets.
Evening:
- Dinner at the lodge/camp.
- Optional evening activities such as a Maasai cultural talk or simply relax by the campfire.
Overnight: Stay at a Mara Sopa lodge.
Morning:
- Early morning wake-up call for a sunrise game drive to witness the wildlife awakening and the stunning sunrise over the savannah.
- Return to the lodge/camp for a hearty breakfast.
Mid-Morning:
- Visit a Maasai village to experience the local culture and traditions (optional activity).
- Optional Hot Air Balloon activity can be scheduled at additional cost ($450)
- Lunch at the lodge/camp.
Afternoon:
- Head out for an afternoon game drive to explore different areas of the reserve and search for the Big Five and other wildlife.
- Optional sundowner drinks in the bush.
Evening:
- Dinner at the lodge/camp.
- Relax and enjoy the camp facilities. Optional activities include storytelling around the campfire or stargazing.
Overnight: Stay at a Mara Sopa lodge.
Morning:
- Optional early morning game drive or nature walk.
- Return to the lodge/camp for breakfast.
- Check-out from the lodge/camp and begin the journey back to Nairobi.
Afternoon:
- Stop in Narok town for lunch (included).
- Continue the drive to Nairobi.
Evening:
- Arrive back in Nairobi. Drop-off at the Ottawa World Travels office or your preferred location in the city.
End of Safari.
