Tour Highlights
Tsavo East
- Aruba Dam: A man-made dam located on the Voi River, it is a popular spot for game viewing, especially during the dry season when animals congregate here to drink.
- Tsavo East is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen covered in red dust, giving them a unique appearance. The elephants here are known for their significant role in conservation efforts.
- Home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino), Tsavo East also boasts a wide variety of other wildlife including giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and numerous bird species.
- With over 500 species of birds, Tsavo East is a paradise for bird watchers. Species include the African fish eagle, martial eagle, and various species of kingfishers and hornbills.
- Galana River: One of Kenya's longest rivers, flowing through the park. The riverbanks are lush and green, contrasting with the arid surroundings and attracting diverse wildlife.
- Yatta Plateau: One of the world's longest lava flows, stretching over 300 kilometers. It offers a unique geological formation and is a significant landmark within the park.
Amboseli National Park

Safari Itinerary
Morning:
- Depart from Mombasa and drive towards Tsavo East National Park.
- Arrive at your lodge/camp and check-in.
- Enjoy a welcome drink and a brief orientation about the park.
Afternoon:
- After lunch, embark on your first game drive in Tsavo East.
- Explore the vast savannahs and spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more.
- Visit the famous Aruba Dam, a popular watering hole for animals.
Evening:
- Return to Lake Jipe Eco Lodge for dinner.
- Relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the African bush.
Morning:
- After breakfast, check out from your accommodation in Tsavo East.
- Depart for Amboseli National Park, known for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Afternoon:
- Arrive at Amboseli and check in to your lodge/camp.
- Have lunch and take some time to relax.
Late Afternoon:
- Head out for a game drive in Amboseli.
- Witness large herds of elephants against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.
- Explore the park’s diverse habitats, including wetlands, savannahs, and woodlands.
Evening:
- Return to Amboseli Sopa Lodge for dinner.
- Enjoy a cultural experience with a local Maasai community (optional).
Morning:
- Early morning game drive in Amboseli to catch the animals during their most active time.
- Breakfast at the lodge/camp after the game drive.
Late Morning:
- Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and Mount Kilimanjaro.
- Return to the lodge/camp to freshen up and check out.
Afternoon:
- Depart for Nairobi with a scenic drive through the Kenyan countryside.
- Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, concluding your safari adventure.
